the great outdoors.

Brett recently took his annual Memorial Day weekend camping trip with his friends. Just like his last camping trip, I was insanely jealous, but also super happy that he could get out of this rat race of life and just BREATHE for a few days. Everyone needs it from time to time, and hopefully next year when our baby is 2, I can join back in on the fun. :) Below are a few photos from Brett’s weekend adventure.

You may remember us talking about one of our good friends Mitch Matthews from a previous post regarding his company, Fermata Music. If not click HERE to check that out. This is Mitch below. This scene below is familiar to me. On the trip I went on a couple years back, we hiked and hiked for hours, and then made it to the tip of this very pretty overlook area. Without anything being said, Mitch pulled out his trumpet and very softly began to play. When you are in such a peaceful state of mind, surrounded only by God’s amazing handiwork & dear friends, hearing him play seems almost surreal. Probably one of the most beautiful and peaceful moments ever. Anyone within hearing distance feels compelled to stop, dead in their tracks.

My nature boy, out on his adventure.
