So I am going to have to apologize up front for this ultra long post, but we had the pleasure of photographing some dear friends of ours, and choosing was INSANE! I spent the whole afternoon yesterday on this, and I am still choosing as I go. :)
Jessica and Tony are adorable. They met in New York when my dear friend decided she wanted to get away from the town she grew up in, and live somewhere new for a while. You may remember them from their great engagement session, and if not click HERE. This little plaque they had at their wedding pretty much sums it up.
I loved her makeup shots. I narrowed it to three, and then to these two.
Her beautiful dress…
Jess’s friend Allison from NY gets the party started.
Writing a love note to her future husband.
Tony prepares for the big day.
Boys in the bathroom. Looking quite handsome.
On one of their first dates someone gave them this $2 bill as change. Jess wrote on it as you see below, and Tony has kept it in his wallet since. Love I tell ya, love.
Almost time.
This could be a photo from the 1940’s. I love it.
Tony with his friend Tony. He’s the one who introduced these two lovebirds.
I called Brett saying we were out front and to stay clear and he replied that they were on the way back to the church. This proceeded….even though they were nowhere near. I love these guys. :)
Tony’s three little nieces were just adorable.
They were married at the gorgeous Bell Event Center in downtown Cincinnati. The place was stunning.
Jessica always dreamed of a romantic candlelit ceremony and that is exactly what she got. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I have seen.
Afterwords we ran outside in between the rain coming and going and grabbed a few shots of the two of them.
YUMMY! Cake by Tres Belle cakes.
The band was kickin’…..
and the dance floor was rockin.
A moment stolen during the reception.
Tony and his BOYZZZZ.
Things were winding down so they broke out the cigars.
Couple late night portraits back at the bar in the Omni.
You two are just precious and whenever Brett and I are around you guys, we don’t want to leave. Jess and Tony, we are so honored that you had us be such a big part of your day. As you know it is incredibly nerve racking taking on such a thing for a friend because you only want them to have the best memories from their night. I hope we captured that for you. I know you guys also were so concerned about us enjoying ourselves and having fun, and trust us-we so did. We loved your wedding (it really wasn’t as stressful as you thought Jess) and we think it was just perfect. Absolutely perfect for you two.
We love you, and can’t believe we won’t see you guys for quite a while. :( Hope you’re having a blast on Aruba, and we are counting the months until Spring when we hope to make it out to London! WOOO-HOOO!!!
I have no idea what I am showing them here, but we all seem pretty intense. :)
Thanks to our friend Bassette who took this photo and a few others that night for us. :)
LOVE to you guys!!
:)
This is our second time coming in to the “Business Center” from the beach to view the pictures!! We love them so much! Thank you guys for all your blood, sweat and tears into making this day extremely special for us. You guys poured your hearts into these pictures and it completely shows. Thank you so much for capturing that amazing day for us we will cherish these forever!
Much Love,
Jessica and Tony Schmidt
AMAZING! jess and brett, seriously…these photos of jess and tony are awesome. i remember the wedding as absolutely gorgeous and seeing jess coming down the aisle brought tears to my eyes…it was all so perfect! even though it was raining outside, these pictures capture what that day was all about…a couple in so love, they can weather any storm. again, amazing.
my sweet jess, please keep in mind that right now, at this moment, i am booking you a few years in advance. first comes love, then comes ENGAGEMENT SESSION, then comes WEDDING SESSION, then comes baby..wait, wait MATERNITY SESSION…THEN baby session(S).
um, so, yeah, keep that in mind. but first let’s get an autumn “just cuz” session in. oh, and have you had time to maybe dream up some layouts for my super awesome senior autograph book?
OH OH and i remember looking at their engagement photos…time flies!
Beautiful shots. The one from below the couple at the Omni is rad as is the 40’s shot of Jessica. The photo of the 4 of you is fun too.Suggestion – i would code any links to outside sites (like the link to Tres Belle Cakes above) to open in a new window so that people are not directed away from your site).
It’s so hard when you’re good friends with the couple! Choosing photos is 10 times harder! :) You did a wonderful job…love the funny leaf shot!
Hi there!
Awesome session – like them all!

You are soooo talented. I cannot get over how beautiful these pics are. I want more!!! I love you Jess, thanks for all your hard work and your efforts. I cannot believe how these turned out. I figured you you took pictures and that was okay, but when I saw these, I fell over. These are beyond professional, they are breathtaking. If you need a photo shoot for anything this is the couple to see.
Love and gratitude.

oh! how i love them! these pics really tell the story of the whole day, which was one of the most beautiful weddings i’ve been to. had a hard time narrowing down my favs, but if i had to choose just one, i’d have to say the one looking up at them kissing at the omni. but i just love # 20–jess g., you look gorgeous!!! and #24, #27, and #28…ok, ok, i like them all! :)
So hard to pick a favorite (as usual)!! I think it is a toss up between the make up shots and the 2 dollar bill shots…both are so creative. Nice shootsac…looks familiar :) I’m jealous of your electricity right now!!
Beautiful photos!! (I found your blog via Bobbi+Mike)
Wow! You have a very unique style, kind of classic meets modern. Cliche, yes, but very fitting for you. Hope we are able to work together someday!
