Oh my oh my…what a wedding. Brett and I adore this couple. Julia found me through a referral, and quickly became my biggest fan. When we did their engagement session, she was so in love with her photos, and wrote me the sweetest email I’ve ever gotten about our photography. It made me so happy to be able to work with them again, knowing how meaningful these photos would be to the both of them. The wedding came quickly and was the perfect way to end our wedding season. (We get a couple months off!) Let me just say first, she looked stunning!! Looking over the photos it was more like a bridal session/wedding because seriously, I just couldn’t take my eyes off her with all her vintage Hollywood glam. Secondly, their friends and family are well, AWESOME. I loved hanging out with those girls!! I could go on and on but enough talking, I’ll let you see for yourself. ;)
Her Mom and girlies help her get her “poof” on :)
We went out in her street and I tried to make her laugh.
This reminds me of a magazine ad.
Talk about a contagious smile. She just lights up the room!!
Josh and Julia decided to see each other before the wedding and this was there first look. :) That is Josh’s Mom back by the door.
The boys….
The cutest little man :)
The ladies…they so rocked out this photo!!! It was about 35 degrees out with the wind blowing FULL BLAST!! When I saw what was happening with her veil, and the dresses, I started jumping up and down out of excitement (and I was freezing to death!)
Can you say new studio canvas?? I CAN!!!
Love this :)
Some photos of the two of them.
Julia can work that camera let me tell you. :)
Such a vintage couture look.
So glad someone came along and painted these windows for us to match her wedding. :)
Walking back to the car the sky was gorgeous. They were frozen!
We went to a park after that, and captured some AMAZING fall color!!! ANOTHER FAVORITE!
No touching up of those blue eyes. BEAUTIFUL.
blingity bling bling.
I just love the way her Dad is looking at her walking down the isle. By the way, yes Tom you looked AWESOME too. :)
“Announcing Mr. and Mrs……”
The party began-and did not stop!! At Josh’s request they walked into the reception with a “Blues Brothers” theme. Julia started dancing, and basically never stopped. Did I mention I love this girl??
One of the best reactions to a speech ever.
Their friends loved to dance. Once the music began, I don’t think ANY of them ever sat down.
Julia and Josh thank you for inviting us to be a part of your special day. You made us feel so welcome and we appreciated it so much. We enjoyed getting to know your families and amazing friends, and you are so lucky to have the awesome bonds that you have. We wish you two all the best and many, many years together! Much LOVE!
:) Jess and Brett
#5 love, because love should be being at rest, which is what they look like, and #8 because I LOVE the sun and the way the background looks like a canvas!!!!!!
Love: #3 because I love the composition & colors, and Marriage #2 because it is SO fun and unique :)
well, here goes.
#3 love.
-main reason, it made me laugh and there are more than just the initial words on the wall. there is added intereste with the couple doing something rather than being stoic :)
#2 marriage
-i love how it looks like they are in their individual cathedrals and the groom is thinking about busting out :D. much color, details, and activity.
great fun!
#2 love. i enjoy train tracks. :) i like the post processing too!
#3 love
#9 marriage
#8 marriage…love that you have them kneeling and the way the light is coming through the veil!
number one love because i like the processing you used–really enhances the emotion of the shot. and number one marriage because it’s just so awwwwwwwwwesome and full of emotion and love and i just LOVE it. :)
I couldn’t decided between #7 and # 10 love and then I realized it’s the same couple….sexy!!! #7 tops it all for me…I would LOVE to have a picture of my man and I like that!!
#9 in “Love” is absolutely amazing because jess captured the light in such a fabulous way. With the sun so bright and gleaming, it reminds me of “that scene” at the end of a romantic movie where the two characters are declaring their love – que dramatic music, sun sets, they kiss, end scene. Love it! #9 in the marriage section is my other pick. the fall colors are outstanding, and they work so well with the bride’s fur, giving the image an almost vintage quality, plus it shows the true emotion of the day we had, which was so serene, happy, and blessed!
#3 LOVE
#11 MARRIAGE (I always loved that pic!)
Best
Alex
#8 Marriage – all the way beacause the way the light and the rays of light are flowing out from behind and through the couple. Sweet!
Love #7: There’s no denying that these two are in love. The picture says it all and captures the heart of their relationship. Plus they’re hott! Marriage #8: It is just plain beautiful! And it captures the passion and gentleness of newlyweds. (And if we had to pick our favorite matron of honor, I’d have to go with that short-haired blonde chick in the very last picture!)
#1 Love: I love how you captured them laughing and looking at each, having fun. I love the closeness of the shot.
#1 Marriage: Again the closeness and how affectionate the couple is, the ring on her hand near the middle of photograph.
love them all. inspiring composition! makes me wanna shoot something. pictures. :)
Am I too late?! Since you haven’t posted the winner yet, hopefully you’ve extended the deadline(?) #1 in Love – since she’s my daughter and I know her, I can personally attest that her inner beauty is bursting forth and when I saw this picture I was totally convinced that the love between she and Andy was the “real deal”.
#8 in the Marriage category (of course my bias is coming through again!) I love the sunset shining through as a benediction between them. It was a lovely closure to the end of a perfect day.
i love number 8!!!!!! its beautiful…. it makes me want to get married one day.
oh… my number 8 vote was for marriage…. my love vote goes to number one!!!
Great wedding, fantastic images! I miss Cincy. I lived there for 6 years. I loved the old charm it has and all the great locations. I just wanted to tell you I love the image with the rings ad the grapes, love the color and the texture of the wood is amazing!. Keep up the great work.
