my poor little boy.
he just wanted to dress up like batman, and then robin, but somehow his sister always manages to get a tu-tu on him.
sometimes superheros get tired. so they suck their fingers….and then they lift off their masks, to reveal goggles. ;)
(please ignore the “hand-me-downed-5-times” PJ’s he’s sporting…..)
oh I could just EAT this child all day.
(my daughter loved grabbing the camera from me to snap this.)
Two things:
1. the kind ladies over at The Maternal Lens did a blog interview with little ol’ me. (way to make a girl feel special!) their blog is pretty rad, and i’m glad to have found it!! so GO HERE to check it out!
2. if you didn’t see the post of my baby sister’s engagement photos, check them out in the post below! if you did and commented THANK YOU SO MUCH. it completely moved me to see so many people i am fond of and love comment on something so dear. :)
I previously posted on the blog about my new office and if you follow me on twitter, you’ve heard my rants over the past few weeks as I went through the transformation from kids playroom, to office. I did a post w/this photo a few weeks ago HERE when I first moved in my desk. Brett was thinking I could just work in there while keeping it a playroom. (Haaaa…that’s funny. No thanks.)
Then we began by choosing paint colors….the simple task that seems to bring me nearer to insanity each time I have to do it. I mean, I spend my life working on colors as an artist- you’d think it wouldn’t be so tough.
After having 4 color samples on the walls from orange to forest green I decided on gray, and I completely LOVE it. It’s so minimal, and reminds me of a blank canvas for my creative side.
You may remember the post HERE about my little man who was “helping” me paint. ;)
So I went to Ikea and got the curtains, storage unit, and rug….but the chair I wanted was out of stock. I came home disappointed and decided to temporarily bring up my purple chair that was in the basement. I LOVED it there. I was so inspired by the purple next to the gray, so….I painted the ceiling purple. Bye bye sunshine and clouds!
Now I need help!!! I need a overhead light/chandelier of some sort. Any suggestions?? Also, what to put on the walls?!? Anyone want to share some ideas, links, photos? Purdy please?
I’m thinking a canvas here….
But here maybe something different. A calendar? Organizer? Look at these sad bare walls. They need some love.
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
i luv me some gavi!
That first picture is awesome. I have a very similar picture of my brother from years ago (he is an only boy with three older sisters.) We still tease him about it. :D
I found you this morning on the maternal lens blog you are amazing I love your work!
Great interview :) You are beautiful and your baby boy is adorable!!!
great pic priya! i love gabey. he’s MY favorite superhero.
you can tell we have 4 kids because when i showed my wife this post, she started trying to figure out how his pjs worked. “do they have footsies? are they too big? how far do they zip down?”
