some favorites of 2008 {portraits and seniors}

Ok, I am still reflecting on 2008 over here, and it is not ending anytime soon.  Maybe by the time January is over I will be in the 09 mindset.  :)  I am going to do a few posts showing some of our favorites from this past year, and I would love for you to vote for your favorite!  In fact, let’s have a little friendly competition….In the comment box, vote the number of your favorite.  Rules:  You can only vote for one photo, and you HAVE TO TELL WHY you are voting for that photo, or it won’t count.  The photo that receives the most votes, that person/family/couple will receive a complementary 8X10 from studio3z of their choice.  Pretty cool huh?  If you are a person who is looking to win, feel free to spam our blog on to every email you know!!!  ;)  Get the world you know voting.

****EDIT*****  The deadline to vote on this entry is Monday morning (19th), 7am!

kamaria {a senior session}

Kamaria is an extraordinary kind of girl…the type that walks to the beat of her own drum.  When I first heard from her and we were talking about the look she wanted, I knew we would have some fun.  She is laid back, loves books, loves acting, and has a big beautiful smile.  I told her we may have an overcast chilly day and she said that was more fitting for her…I got a kick out of this, because I am the same way.  Anyone can appreciate the sunshine, but it takes a different type of person to find beauty in gray days.

Of course it would only be fitting for her to bring her books along.

This is what she can be found doing quite often.  These are a few of her current favorites.

Then we switched things up, and went walking around.

Such pretty eyes and a brilliant smile.  :)

Love this look…

We considered using this yellow doorway which I used in her friend’s Senior session…I typically try not to repeat the same backgrounds on shoots.   We decided it was too good to pass up.  (It looked so cute with her outfit!) Here she is saying, “Sorry Mary!”

“Seize the day.”  I love her shirt.  I want it.

This was right after she did a soliloquy for me.  :)  I love that she laughs at herself….a great character quality if you ask me.

I love this photo.  There is a very natural, organic feel to it.

Just something she did, I snapped, and I dig.

Lovely.

Kamaria, thanks to you and your family for your patience with your blog post.  :)  Thanks also to Lainey (Kamaria’s AWESOME friend) for carrying around all the clothes, shoes, etc. that day!  It was A LOT!!!

Best of luck to you and your future Kamaria!  When you are a famous actress on Broadway don’t forget us little people.  :)
