a happy home.

Back in the spring, a good friend of mine in Indiana connected me with a photographer here in Cincinnati that she thought I should meet. So, I went to grab coffee with Jess, and just feel in love with her instantly. She’s a sweetheart, a real soul, and her slight Southern twang only makes you feel more comfortable around her. ;) Since then I’ve enjoyed any time we get to hang out. Jess is not only a fabulous photographer herself, but also the founder of the cool new photography school, Define. Talk about a go-getter! Did I mention she has two little ones? I was just BEYOND thrilled and honored when she asked us to photograph her precious family. After all, Jess rarely gets to be in photos herself, and I just knew how important these would be to her.

We did a super low-key shoot with them around their adorable home. So laid-back, chill, and true to life. And they made mojitos. Win. Meet Jess, her sweet hubby Corey, feisty and adorable Charley, and pinch-her-cheeks-off cuteness named Lola:

a brief moment…

I’m prepping a blog post of my friend and her sweet little family, and this image just speaks so much to me. It tells of the love of a mother, and reminds me of how precious those days are when our children are small and in our arms. This image causes me to think on what it will mean to little Lola, when she’s all grown, and looks back at her mother’s warm embrace.

I adore this moment.

Much more to come….
