Ahhhh…another beautiful wedding. Actually this was our first wedding of the year, and what a fun one it was!! It also held a special place in my heart because Amy is one of my sister’s bestest friends, and also has been a babysitter for our kids for a while. When we began our photography business, Amy and Caleb weren’t even dating, but Amy said to me, “You will be my photographer for every major event that happens in my life.” I thought this was so sweet, and a few years later, here we are. Funny how life works. :)
We have been so excited about shooting their wedding, and the day was so beautiful and everything went according to plan. Amy was calm and laid back, and she looked absolutely beautiful.
I loved Brett’s idea of the rings laying on the rings of the tree….
Caleb getting ready.
Everyone helping Amy look perfect.
These girls all looked so lovely. Three of them are Caleb’s sisters, one is my sister (can you guess which one?), one is a friend who is going to be a “studio3z bride” this September (YAY!), and two are Amy’s good childhood friends.
And the guys looked mighty handsome themselves. :)
Brett took some great (and funny) groomsmen shots. This one makes me giggle.
Prayer before the ceremony….
Getting ready to walk down.
Love this shot Brett got as they close the doors behind Amy and her father.
One of the sweetest parts of the ceremony was that they washed one another’s feet. I have never seen this done at a wedding. I love the idea.
Another really cool thing was that Caleb’s Father was the officiant. :)
One of my favorites of the day. So glad I had them pause for a moment to take it.
Amy and the boyzzz.
We rocked out 10 mins of 25 degree weather like you have never seen!!! :)
This cake won my heart, and my taste buds. :) It was made by Amy’s mother! (I love how personal their wedding was!)
This photo is actually only the side section. It was huge!! The henna like detail is just BEAUTIFUL.
First dance as husband and wife.
Amy and her Dad had a very emotion filled first dance. I felt like such a dork, crying my eyes out behind my camera. :)
I love this shot of Caleb and his Mom.
Then the party GOT STARTED!!!! These people liked to dance.
We slipped outside for a few night portraits….yes it was probably about 20 out, but can you tell? They look warm and cozy.
Back inside for dancing! I had fun getting some artsy shots.
The next thing I knew Amy had changed and they were running out the door!!! I guess when you are done, you are done. :) Loved this shot of all their friends cheering them on as they leave. It was so much fun.
We were also so happy and honored to have a friend shooting with us that day! Alex of Photo Finish, is a photographer based out of Hanover, Germany. We actually met him here on our blog, and have since become friends. When we heard that he would be visiting the US, we asked him up for a visit and so he was with us the weekend of Amy and Caleb’s wedding. We met in person for the first time, and enjoyed getting to know each other. Alex got some great shots of the wedding as well which he will soon have posted on his blog HERE! Keep an eye out for them this coming week. :)
“ALEX, the Alex” (what our kids call him from the movie “Madagascar”) you are AWESOME, and we are so happy to have met you!
Here is Alex with the bride and groom….
And the 3 of us at the end of the night! We made a pretty good team. :)
Amy and Caleb, we can’t thank you enough for having us as your photographers! We loved our time we got to spend with you, and we wish you all the best in your future together!! We hope to see you guys around, sooner than later. Hope the honeymoon to Mexico was AMAZING.
much love!

Gorgeous!!! I really truly absolutely love these! You captured this day just as it was…..Beautiful!
Way to rock the first wedding of the year!!! I love that shot of the foot washing…isn’t that the neatest thing in a ceremony?
These are so gorgeous. It seems like your lighting in every single one is PERFECT. The are so completely clear and beautiful. You certainly captured the romanticism of the day.
I have never seen the feet washing thing either, but I think its a great idea.
