Sean is an old friend of Brett’s and together they share an insane love for Xavier basketball (sorry UC fans). Sean told Brett that he wanted us to do his photos when he got engaged one day. When the time finally arrived Sean wanted us to do surprise photos of the proposal itself! It turned out things weren’t working as planned and Allyson was going to be out of town the week Sean had scheduled with us for the surprise proposal. So, Sean decided to propose in advance and instead of being a proposal shoot, it turned out to be the actual engagement session. :)
We first met up on the West Side at a park, which was near a house of one of Sean’s relative’s. This house has the most amazing view of downtown Cincinnati, hands down.
The breathtaking views from the backyard of the house…
Can you imagine if this is what you saw while sitting on your front porch?
The BIG date…
They made this sign while sitting in the car before the session. ;)
This amazing house was built in the 1800s and restored to absolute perfection. I was beyond “ga-ga” over the beautifully restored history, and the unique personal style of the owner, which was evident throughout the home.
We moved on to Fountain Square, which was one of their first meeting places.
All the action shots Brett has taken of me lately I am talking with my hands, which I never knew I did. ;)
M precious, yet pensive husband ;-)
Sean and Allyson, thanks so much for hanging with us! We had a great time with you two, and wish you all the best on the wedding planning road over the next year.

Sean! Congratulations!
You guys look great and the Z’s did a great job capturing the fun as always. :)
Now get to work, a lot to do and only a little over ayear to get it done! ;)
Love the house shots! Looks like fun :)
I am in. love. with this session. That house is unreal & all the shots taken inside are amazing. My favorite is definitely the b&w by the fountain. Love their stillness amongst all the movement…
Love the light. And that house is killer, along with the photos you guys got in it!
We LOVE the pics Jess and Brett—Thanks so much, they turned out awesome…you did some great editing with my ugly mug :)
Thanks again, we really enjoyed it and as always, Love your work and will be in touch.
Sean
PS, Thanks Ron!
Amazing! These pictures really make me miss home…Ohio. Cincinnati is so beautiful looking in these pictures and we sure miss it! I used to intern at Ohio Magazine which was by Fountain Square and spent so many wonderful times on the Riverfront. We are making a quick tip to Cinci in July; I sure wish I had more time and could take in the city that we love!
