So after the renovation, painting our 40 foot chalkboard wall, and then the re-brand, we had a crazy idea….
I mean, we love seeing our kids practice their names, draw fun creatures, and even write stories on our new wall. We snap photos to remember what was there, because sure enough it gets erased by days end. I’ve come to cherish the memories that are being written up there, and I want to invite others to do the same.
Gabe is four. He wrote his first “signature” about a month ago and now he writes it everywhere he can. His family may be the only ones that knows what it says, but it’s incredibly precious to us. I loved doing a mini-session with him, capturing the “here-and-now” of this magical stage that will pass as soon as I blink.
We can’t wait to meet other kiddos (big and small), see them express themselves on the board, stand by it, and have some documentation of this time in their life!
We are SOOOO excited to now offer……CHALKBOARD SESSIONS!!!
****If you are interested in booking a chalkboard session with us please email us at info@ourlifeinbalance.com. We are booking now for Sunday December 11th, and if you book for that date you will receive $25 off your session!!***
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving, celebrating life and love with those who mean the most to you. We had a wonderful day yesterday, hopping around from house to house, each filled with our dear family. We’ve had a great week of trying to take it easy…waking up slightly late, snuggling with our babies, and letting go of the pre-s-s-ure we put on ourselves. And we were thankful.
As fall slips into winter, the temperatures drop, and we begin slowing down in our shooting schedule, we look forward to a slow winter. Our fall was much more busy than last year with the re-brand, house remodeling, and a full schedule, so we so look forward to breathing….without guilt. You know what I mean? Our stress had gotten so high that Brett and I had intended to take “vacation” this week….but we still worked-quite a bit in fact, but without time constraints and pressure. We let go of our minute-to-minute schedule. I can’t say what a relief this week has been. And it has felt like a vacation!
I am so thankful for stillness, for health, for beauty in nature, for children who rely on me and challenge me, for a husband who stands by my side through it all, and for the Lord God who is so mercifully guiding me along day-to-day. I am thankful for you too. Thank you for being here, reading this, and supporting who we are. :)
Look forward to some amazing blog posts, starting off with a HUGE announcement here Monday morning!! We have a new Life in Balance venture that we can’t wait to share. :)
