Family time in New Mexico {part II}

If you missed the first part of our vacation, look here, then come back.  :)  Here are a few more days of our family trip in October.

We spent a day at Bandelier National Monument, where we were able to explore around ancient ruins of the Pueblo people.  I heard someone say it was home to Anasazi people, which the kids loved because we studied them a bit last year.

The kids loved climbing into the cliff dwellings.

Some of Brett’s college buddies came along.  Here’s Mark and Gracie.  :)

Brett’s friend Jacob came with his family as well.

Dinner at Mark and Mel’s was a great end to the evening.  Can you tell I like my little boy?

Sunset outside their house…

Next day – Poor Priya

New Mexico is known for its red chile peppers…

Priya’s 11th birthday was the day we arrived to New Mexico. She loved when she was serenaded.  ;)

Thanks for looking. I’m not done just yet.  ;)

I have a nice big New Mexico post in the works, but don’t have enough time this morning to get it posted before school with the kids- look for it later today.

Here is one for now.

Call it my new favorite, because I am just smitten. This is another one of those images that I can imagine myself looking back on with such emotion and fondness.
