today, we explored.

My Dad once told me, “I think you would be content with just a rock on a mountainside.”

(logged that away as one of the best compliments I have ever received.)

My Dad was right, as long as I have this mountain man by my side.  Oh, and I guess those 4 kids we have, my bible, and a warm cappuccino.

Then he’s right. ;)

Brett and I visited our favorite bed and breakfast last weekend.  And as we always do, we took some time to explore around and see what we could see. It was extremely blustery outside, but the air smelled so fresh.

Tomorrow I will post one of my favorite finds.  :)

carrie + charlie {in love}

I just adore the story of Carrie meeting Charlie….she was studying abroad in England, and they met one night at a pub.  They have since maintained a long distance relationship, visiting one another when possible, and they were recently engaged.  Carrie wrote me about doing her wedding photography and wanted to meet while Charlie was in town visiting.  We met with them, and then found out we had to fit in their engagement session before he left in 10 days.  I would say we broke a record for the fastest engagement session after booking a wedding!

They chose this lovely park behind her parents home for the session.  They have taken many walks back through these woods while Charlie was visiting from the U.K.  Carrie also has much family history on this land, so it was incredibly special to have photographs there.

They are adorably in love.

{Brett, standing on a 25 ft cement wall….as usual.}

We can’t wait to photograph their wedding this coming December, and see where the wind takes these two.  They are now an ocean apart, so I hope these photos can warm them until they meet once again.

;)
