Anthony is a good kid. He loves his family, and is working hard to make his goals in life become a reality. He wants to be a graphic designer, and he is a very talented artist. He was working on one of his drawings at the beginning of the session. :)
Anthony is also an AMAZING basketball player, specializing in tricks. :) He has plans to join a Christian organization that travels around performing- kind of like the Harlem Globetrotters. 
We happened to go by the place where he had his tattoo done.
He was CRAZY with that basketball!

On the way home from our bed & breakfast we were visiting over the weekend, I spotted this gem along the roadside.
Gem you say? Of this “piece of crap,” falling down house? Absolutely….at least to me. I am addicted and almost feel magnetized to old abandoned stuff. This precious little house was no exception. It was literally 10 feet off a main (very fast moving) state route. I was immediately smitten with the thoughts of its former visitors, and the people who called this humble dwelling home at one point in time.
This stone was about 200 yards from the house….
The history…the thought of what it has seen…everything about this place intrigued me.
The welcoming front door…just watch out for the trees on the way in.
It was the perfect day for this….super windy and dark skies. The house seemed dead to me, and this little guy was one of the only signs of life.
Restroom anyone?

i am IN LOVE with these photo’s!! i too love anything old and abandoned, and this little house is the perfect example of both. i can almost see an old man, sitting in a rocker on the front porch, chewing on a piece of grass…just passing time…{love it!}

I have always loved looking for old, abandoned places. My husband and I found an old school house one time with an upright piano left in it. Some of our favorite pictures…they speak the history for you! Thanks for sharing!

Very cool, I love old houses and barns too. There was an old, nearly falling over barn near our house in college and when I got my first open assignment in photography that is the first place I went.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these photos! I too am insanely intrigued by old buildings, abandoned homes and farms, etc. I always want to stop, but never do…that is it, you have inspired, my next drive down to see family in NE, I am stopping at some of my favorite “haunts” on the route. Afterall, I suppose I never know when they’ll be gone. ;)
