We had the honor of photographing tiny man Joseph when he was 10 days old. We did this session in early December, and his family has been oh so patient waiting for these. :)
He was such a sweetie. I have NEVER seen a baby that was so attentive at this age. He knew every step we took and could follow us with his eyes everywhere, but he stayed quiet. In fact, the only time he made much noise at all was when he wasn’t swaddled up. He loved to be warm and cozy.
Check out that black mohawk! I told his parents he is SOOO punk rock! ;)
Here is the happy Mama and Daddy, otherwise known as Christine and John.
The abundant natural light was a beautiful welcome on a cold winter day.
Love this sweet moment.
:)
Yes, 10 days old….although he looks much older! See what I mean about him really noticing us? Wow.
Christine, your smile is GORGEOUS!
Then we had to get their first 2 babies, and go out for a mini-walk.
How cute is Mama Christine in her get-up?! I just adore babies in a sling. Precious and snugly.
All three babies. :)
If you follow our blog then most likely you have seen Brett’s brother Jason on here more than once. Even though he lives in L.A., he makes it out here to Ohio at least a couple times a year. Last year we did a session of Jason with the kids for his year end CD, and he loved the idea so we decided to make it a tradition. We took the photos below when he was in town for Thanksgiving, and I am just now getting them posted….things were just sooooo busy.
Jason is single and kidless (hear that ladies?) but he calls these “his kids” and often thanks me for raising them for him :) (Although I can only take credit for 4 below). When he comes to town he LOVES hanging with our 4 kids, and Chad’s 2 kiddos, and then when he leaves I am asked, “When is Uncle J coming back?” about 400,000 times. Remember Chad and his family? Click here to have a refresher. Two babies are his and my beautiful sister-in-law’s.
Love this. :)
The first and last time I let my daughter be her own stylist…..
Can you tell they are all crazy about their uncle?
Chad’s 2 babies.
Our brood.
This was the first time Gabe “got” the whole Uncle J thing. And now he is nutso too. He has asked almost EVERY DAY since we saw J in November, “Mama, where J? J in air-pane?”
:) These all made me smile.
If you are into music you may want to check out Jason’s “song of the day site” and follow him on twitter.
Happy Monday!
Super cute baby boy!! Love the sweet photos!!
OMG I am in Luuurve with these, so sweet!
Just love that one. Their first babies and now all of them. :)
Love the 5th one up from the bottom. He looks like an old soul.
This was such a GREAT experience, Jessica & Brett! Thank you for your talented work.
Love these! The one of his face is so beautiful… I feel like I know what he will look like when he grows up because of that picture. I also LOVE the last one!
This post just needed a comment! I love how you captured that little guy, and like everyone’s been saying its amazing how aware he is, and the “old soul” he seems. The shot of him looking up is ridiculously awesome! Almost gives me a spine tingle! Fantastic fantastic work!
