I find it incredibly hard to believe that this year is already nearing it’s end- YIKES! I’m a bit nervous to whip out my list of “what I wanted to accomplish in 2009″…but maybe I should so I can hurry and try to do them. ;) But before I jump tooo far ahead of myself, I wanted to make sure and let clients know our print order deadlines.
If you would like to place an order for prints, canvases, or DVD of your files, you must send me your order by December 1st (at the latest) to receive it by Christmas. Was that a little absurd to bold the whole line? I just wanted to make sure you saw it. :) Also, If you have a special circumstance (like a resent session or one coming up), please let me know if you have any questions regarding holiday deadlines. If you are a past bride or groom and would like to order your wedding album with our current pricing, you must have your order in to me by December 31st. Any questions at all, please email me at info@studio3z.com.
On to a little randomness….
While we were out doing photo sessions in California we also had a great time visiting with Brett’s brother Jason, and meeting up with some of our friends who are out there. We mentioned in one of our posts from our trip out to LA last spring that Brett randomly found one of his good college buddies from New Mexico living less that a mile from his brother in LA!! It was so cool seeing these guys reconnect last March. Of course we had to hang out again with Amery and his lovely wife Felicia, and they had us over for an authentic New Mexican dinner….my husband was in FOOD HEAVEN, with green chile stew.
We began with a drink that Jason made of muddled cilantro, tequila, and Negra Modelo. I was surprised how wonderful it was. HERE’S the recipe from Jason’s site.
One of my favorite things about California is the food. We love different types of food, and LA is chock full of variety. Below is one of our breakfast places we went to. I was laughing at our food…Brett and Jason got all the healthy stuff, and my food was all brown (but freaking good).
Another place we went to was “Street.” A restaurant that serves street food from around the world. LOVED the menu.
Brett and Amery, being themselves.
A sweet photo of Amery and Felicia. :)
Felicia and little ol’ me.
Two (precious) brothers.
Happy weekend to you!
We had a hot Cincinnati day when Ryan and Steve came in from Chicago for their engagement session a few months back, but their gorgeous fall wedding was a little more on the chilly side. The weather turned out great considering you never really konw what you will get with an October wedding. The sun was shining just gloriously, and the crisp air made the perfect accent to their simply elegant day.
Ryan got dressed at her Mom and Step-Dad’s beautiful home. They have an abundance of big windows with natural light pouring in, which happens to be my favorite thing in the world for preparation shots.
Ryan’s friends were all so incredibly wonderful and sweet.
The light…it made this shot just PERFECT.
Meanwhile the guys were all off getting ready….Steve was a little bit nervous according to Brett, and after he put his suspenders on over his tee, he had a good laugh. I love it. :)
Ryan’s gift to Steve was pure GENIUS…a bottle of wine for major events in their life. Brett asked if the one labeled “Our First Baby” meant, drink it and go make a baby, or drink it after the new baby??! Haaaaa.
Ryan was stunning!!!
All the girls were just PERFECTION…so incredibly elegant.
The guys were quite handsome as well! Love this shot.
This made me laugh. They had not seen each other yet…Steve and Brett were eating ice cream, and as we walked up behind them someone on the street was honking at Ryan!! Steve (nervous, but acting so cool) mixed with Ryan’s reaction to the person yelling….I just love the energy of this shot. :)
Then some portrait time for us!!! Thank you sun for meeting us out there that day.
FALL IS MY FAVORITE SEASON. These photos below explain why.
Brett, your mad skillz amaze me.
Ryan’s flowers (done by Robin Wood) were so incredibly beautiful!!
Steve with his brother and nephew. :)
This was our first Jewish wedding, and we were so excited to be a part of it. You may or may not know that Brett studied Hebrew and lived in Israel for a while in college. He was beyond thrilled to be part of the Jewish traditions involved in a wedding ceremony. If I recall correctly, this was right before our after the signing of the Ketubah.
Then they had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Ault Park. The sense of family and tradition was so prevalent at this wedding. Steve’s cousin was their rabbi.
A few more shots together as the sun begins to set.
Love this photo…so much. :)
Some details of the day….
Ryan’s Aunt is an owner of The BonBonerie, so she had an exquisite cake.
The toasts were funny, heart-felt, and touching.
And the DANCING!!!
This is my favorite photo of the Horah that I have seen! The best reaction ever.
they danced, and danced, and danced….
Such an amazing celebration!!
Ryan and Steve, we can’t thank you enough! Your wedding was just perfect in every way, and it was such an honor to be there and be a part of it with you. :) We hope your honeymoon to Spain was AMAZING and relaxing.
Brett and I wish you all the best in the years to come, as you drink a bottle of wine in celebration of each special thing! ;)
Jessica, you’re so beautiful and you and Brett make everywhere you go and everything you do look beautiful. Oh….and that last pic of the two brothers….HOT!
Man your brother’s have some crazy strong genes.
The 3 Kings are going to come and visit you sometime. And it will feel like LA to us. : )
Miss you soul sista! (Light at the end of the tunnel is coming! We’ll be depressed we aren’t shooting in no time!!) hA!
so funny to see brett and jason having the same camera-stare-down expression!
come back!
