If you missed the first part of our story of David and Paulina, click HERE to read about it.
We all woke up and had a beautiful morning at the Costa d’ Este resort before the big wedding. Since almost everyone who attended stayed at the resort, people were relaxing at the pool, on the beach, and hanging at the restaurant or bar most of the day. Of course the groom and the guys can take things a little more slow than the girls, so Brett hung out with David as he swam with friends.
I was with Paulina as she began the process of getting beautified! She had such an AMAZING team of stylists to work with…it would make almost any girl jealous. I am still trying to find out his name, but this makeup artist was SO GOOD!! I guess that is why he works on such notable faces like Gloria Estefan. :)
**EDITED to ADD** Found out he is Sidney Jamila, and he’s a pretty big dang deal. Like I said, he was so amazing…I just love watching artists at work.
The dream team at work!! Here is Rodney Cutler -celebrity hairstylist extraordinaire. He turned Paulina’s hair into HOTNESS.
I love how Diva she is here.
While Paulina was getting done up, David and the boys got ready.
Here is her engagement ring, and the bands which belong to their parents. :)
David writes up a little something…..
And when it was delivered Paulina just giggled and smiled and said, “He just always thinks of these little things.”
Glamour hair was kicking in full force….
The flowers in her presidential suite were sent from her love, who would be joining her there that night. ;)
These were her ceremony shoes for the beach….
and the DRESSS!!! Wowza!!!
For her hair….
What did I tell you??! Flipping HOT!!!
Upon arrival I heard of this little thing called “Cuban Time.” :) I became acquainted with this saying when the rehearsal was running 2 hours late, and I am sitting there wondering, “What’s going on? And why is everyone just having fun and ignoring the CLOCK??!” The response was, “We’re running on Cuban Time.” So I looked it up, (in the Urban Dictionary of course), and sure enough, it was really a saying. And trust me, it is really a way of life too!!
So we had a bit of “Cuban Time” on the wedding day as well. While the girls were running a wee bit behind, Brett took the guys out and got some great shots!
The boys! (Minus Emilio who was naturally running on Cuban Time as well!) :)
David had each of the guys’ Guayaberas monogrammed. It was such a sweet personal touch.
David’s Dad is so precious, and David and his Dad love each other so very much!
Then Emilio showed up! As I mentioned in the post before, David has worked very closely with the Estefan’s for years now, so he is pretty much part of the family. :)
David’s little cousin was the adorable ring bearer. I loved how the rings were carried in this shell.
Meanwhile the girls were getting their dresses on…..
They looked GORGEOUS.
Paulina’s beautiful mother and sister helped her into her dress.
She tried on her reception shoes for me….I LOVED them.
Her Dad helped her with her veil.
A final word of prayer right before the ceremony…..
At the same time, a little surprise from David was practicing in the ballroom. ;)
And the ceremony was getting ready to start….
Please check back in for the final installment of their wedding later this week. :) You won’t want to miss one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies I have EVER seen!
We were honored when David called and asked us to come to Vero Beach, Florida to document his wedding to his beloved bride, Paulina. Brett met David years ago when visiting his big brother in college. Brett’s brother Jason (who lives in LA) was going to be in the wedding, so we were very much looking forward to a fun weekend!
David and Paulina were just adorable the night of their rehearsal….so incredibly excited that their day was nearly here.
David is the Director of Media Relations for Estefan Enterprises, owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. So, it was rather fitting that they were married at “Coste d’ Este,” the Estefan’s resort on Vero Beach. It was beautiful!
Upon arrival, each guest was given a cute little burlap bag containing 2 oranges. Their good friend did the design for their wedding, including these adorable tags.
They had a wonderful Cuban meal in the Grand Crystal Ballroom of the resort. Surrounded by many friends and family, they listened as people stood up and shared their love of the couple.
David’s brother and his wife had such sweet words to say to them, as they welcomed Paulina into their family.
Then David and Paulina thanked everyone for coming to celebrate with them for the weekend. Many people had traveled far for this special day.
David and Paulina exchanged very heart-felt words with each other, as they discussed how they had waited for this someone, and this day to arrive…..
Seeing as we spent the weekend with them, I have broken the celebration into 3 posts. :) Please check back tomorrow to see the beginning of their GORGEOUS day!!
