Part 1.
Driving to visit my Grandma last week, I remembered a park that I loved as a child. It’s a small park, with old historical elements held within. I remember it being a little spooky, but it mostly seemed magical….kinda like the story of “The Secret Garden.” I decided to swing by there and to take some photos of Gabriel.
I had never taken any of my kids to this park, and they were so intrigued…..
It had just rained….the air was still fresh and heavy. Birds were singing, and the sky was gray. It felt just as magical as it did when I stood only 3 ft off the ground.
Gabe never smiled once. I kept trying to get him to, but he just stood and stared. I decided to just go with it, and capture him as he was able to experience this new place on his own.
One of the best things is this great fish pond with huge goldfish, turtles, and frogs.
Then we walked down some hidden paths…..
We found this cute bench.
Gabe went on a rock hunt….
But he quickly JUMPED when he heard a bird call.
My favorite from this mini-session.
We only stayed for 15 minutes, but I can guarantee we will be back. :)
This concludes post #1, and #2 will be later today. I know, I’m kinda ridiculous….but you Mama’s understand.
i LOVE this. it’s so organic and natural…these images rock my world. they really capture the wonder and awe within children. oh, sweet little gabe.
